"Fore Russia's Kids"

Clear blue skies and manicured greens greeted 112 golfers at the Yevgeny Girel Orphans Foundation's "Fore Russia's Kids" charity golf outing held on June 20th, 2005. The Club at Nevillewood was the site of this year's four man scramble. Golfers enjoyed a hearty brunch before tee-off and a delicious dinner buffet and silent auction after. Frank Fuhrer Distributing and Ray Capelli of Capelli distributors generously donated the on course beverages.

Pittsburgh Pirate alumni Manni Sanguien, Steve Blass, Jim Rooker, Frank Thomas and Grant Jacksen kept their foursome companions entertained with glory day tales and impressed with their on course finesse.

Winners of the scramble were the foursome of Mark Bolkovac, Mark Kalaleski, Bill Barkley and Chad Ehle. Their score of 56 was a club low for 2005. Proceeds from this wonderful event brought the funds raised by the YGOF to nearly $100,000.
