"Two Worlds, One Family"

The day started off with a gathering of fellow adoptive parents, families and friends, buying baked goods, crafts and tickets for the raffles and Chinese Auction. The group of 159 attendees then enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring Nevillewood's House salad and infamous Chicken Crepes. Lunch was topped off with a mouth watering Oreo Ice Cream Ball.

After lunch, Talbots took over and our models strutted their stuff with the latest in Spring Fashions. We were pleased to have Adopt-A-Child employees: Cecil Sharpe and Denise Waldman walking the runway for us. Thank you Cecil and Denise!!!! The highlight of the afternoon, however were the children models. The smaller children all began their lives in Russian orphanages and walked the runway with pride waving, smiling and even crying!

The afternoon concluded with drawings for the basket raffles and many Chinese Auction items. Due to the generosity of many kind people donating items, quite a few attendees walked away with a prize!!!!

In conclusion, the Foundation made a little over $5000.00!!! Not bad for a first time event!!! Thanks to all who attended. Please join us next year for the 2 nd Annual “Two Worlds, One Family” Fashion Show and Luncheon. Details to follow later this year.
